Our Commitment
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Kind & Conscious was founded to have a positive impact on people's shopping habits, allowing them to shop for quality products whilst remaining as conscious to the sustainability effort as possible. We are also conscious of overusing or misusing the term sustainability. We're not perfect, but were are true to the goal of remaining as sustainable as possible. Therefore, we prefer to call ourselves a mindful business. Trying to do our best, but appreciating there’s always new things to learn.
Our Pledge
Our business was founded in 2022. Now, more than ever, we feel every business should be giving back to our environment, our community, and our planet. So we are proudly part of the 1% For The Planet community. Co-founded by the founder of Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard, 1% For The Planet is helping encourage businesses to positively give back to causes that will directly improve our living planet. We have therefore founded Kind & Conscious with the commitment to pledge 1% of our profits to the 1% For The Planet foundation.
Greenwashing

...behaviour or activities that make people believe that a company is doing more to protect the environment than it really is...
e.g., The campaign was little more than greenwashing to improve the oil company's image.
We are personally aware and see a lot of brands and companies, especially big names, now use greenwashing as a tactic to convince you into thinking better of them. We aim to avoid this, and try to be as transparent as possible about who we stock and how we try to do business better.
With that in mind, we have carefully curated our product line to ensure they are of the upmost quality and sustainability. We have chosen to stock products that meet either one or more of the following criteria:
- B Corporation certified business
- 1% For The Planet business members
- Vegan
- Organic
- Plastic free
- Recyclable
- Zero waste
- Carbon neutral
- BPA free
- Non-toxic
This list is non-exhaustive, and we also choose products that we believe are of the highest quality in both packaging and materials, as well as sourcing from locally based crafters and makers.
However, of course, the odd thing can slip the net, so, if you do have any questions about the brands we work with or products we stock, please do let us know. If we are unable to answer straight away, we will get in touch with the brand directly and do our very best help you.
